My exposure to mountains started at a very young age at my maternal village ‘Chhapoli’ in Rajasthan (India), which is situated at the foothills of one of the oldest mountain ranges of the world- The Aravali range. I never realised when it became a deeper connection, and the flow of life kept me engaged into it. I began training at MAIR Jaipur at the age of 10, and later underwent high altitude training at the best mountaineering institutes of India, i.e. HMI Darjeeling, NIM Uttarkashi & ABVIMAS Manali. I have worked as a Chief Instructor at MAIR and as a Guest Instructor at NIM Uttarkashi. I have participated in more than 100 trekking & climbing expeditions, including Mt. Kilimanjaro & Mt. Elbrus, then became irregular for some years once I came into corporate sector away from adventure. Still I try to get some time for this addictive sport of mountaineering, and to enjoy to its best. Wishing to get more time to engage in adventure and keep sharing more stories!
